Maintenance Worker - Extension Services

$15.52 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area / Cocoa / Agricultural Center / Travels Countywide.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday 12 : 00 p.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. and may include mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Performs entry-level service work maintaining and making simple repairs to County grounds, buildings, and Extension Service facilities.

REQUIREMENTS : No formal training or experience is required. Experience in the safe and efficient use of hand and power-operated equipment is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.

The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5).

In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
