Analytical Sciences Lab Operations Support (1st Shift Sun-Thurs)

Job Description

• Maintaining laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and preparation of media
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and / or cryogenic liquids.
• Cleaning and monitoring of controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSC)
• Use of electronic management and tracking system for monitoring routine maintenance and calibration status of laboratory equipment.
• Management of paper lab notebook and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation
• Assists in coordination and execution of reoccurring equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
• Cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spaces in accordance with effective procedures.
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.
• Complete tasks listed above in laboratory areas that handle potent chemical compounds.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AS) in Life Sciences or equivalent.
• A strong work ethic and ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs.

• Knowledge of cGMP is a plus.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new processes, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, t his role is 1st Sun-Thurs 8 am-4 pm . Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.

Compensation is $19.50-21.00 per hour based on experience.
