The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and continuous improvement of our machinery and equipment, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with equipment and execute effective repairs.
- Install, assemble, and test new machinery or equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and any modifications made.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Assist in training production staff on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to optimize equipment performance.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
