As a Certified Surgical Tech at UT Health Jacksonville, you will be an integral part of our surgical team. Your primary responsibilities will include functioning as a primary scrub technologist for various procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and applying aseptic technique principles to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a safe operating environment
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and current certification
- BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical / Vocational degree
- One year of operating room experience
