Job Description Summary :
The Procurement Manager coordinates, organizes, and oversees activities involved in the identification, evaluation, analysis and acquisition of the company's material and services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to prepare and initiate invitation to bids to selected suppliers, negotiation, Purchase Order award, and Purchase Order close-out of equipment and services, including managing supplier performance aspects of major projects and contracts establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Review planned Bill of Materials to ensure Purchase Orders are created prior to commitment and approval process
- Transmits approved purchase orders with appropriate supporting documents to Supplier and tracks acknowledgement by Supplier, confirm system lead time, delivery date and cost
- Reviews, updates and maintains open Purchase Orders until closed
- Reports Supplier non-conformances and prepares return documentation to Supplier with follow up until resolved
- Work with all relevant parties in the consolidation, reduction and rationalization of the local supplier base and achieve cost improvement targets assigned by Manager
- Serve as the single point of contact for Suppliers questions, leads supplier conference calls or meetings for the resolution or mitigation plans of key or critical issues to ensure alignment with project expectations
- Leads on the preparation of reporting and KPI measurement (e.g. savings report)
- Leads in developing and maintaining Supplier Relationship Management program
- Works closely with the Sourcing leads, Material Coordinators and network of Project Managers
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located on company sites
- Maintains required quantity of supplies, services and materials to optimize production
- Assesses the ability to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials
- Negotiates prices for material, services and supplies and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and / or shipping companies
- Participates as an advisory member of the project cost development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies, services and materials
- Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering or construction changes to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
- Hires and trains departmental personnel
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and / or Work Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Three (3) years of experience as a procurement manager, or similar relevant position required
- Pay Range : $108,000 to $131,000
