Machine Operator
Location : Mebane, NC, 27302
Overview
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our facility in Mebane, NC. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up machinery for operation
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
- Perform quality control checks on products
- Adjust machine settings as needed
- Clean and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
- Set up CNC machines based on job specifications and blueprints.
- Load raw materials into the machine and install appropriate cutting inserts.
- Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software to perform machining operations.
- Monitor machine operation and adjust settings as necessary to ensure product quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and part measurements.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to understand part specifications and dimensions.
Salary info : $20 - $23.10 / hr
