Our global manufacturing leader is searching for an Automation / Controls Engineer to develop and implement advanced process control / system strategies with significant focus on the equipment reliability programs (preventive and predictive maintenance).
Requires proficiency in leading RCAs and FMEAs. Offers excellent salary, bonus, benefits, and relocation options. Qualifications : BS or AS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience in process control, automation, and electrical engineering in a manufacturing plant.
Experience with equipment installation, preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills related to PLCs, DCS, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
Ability to work now or in the future without sponsorship. Responsibilities : Develop, support, and implement advanced process control strategies to provide operational improvements, reliability, and integrity.
Monitor and analyze repetitive maintenance problems. Determine the RCA for equipment failures, initiate equipment or procedural changes to correct.
Develop and optimize the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plans. Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMECA (Failure Mode & Effect Criticality Analysis).
Resolve the system problems related to the DCS and other automated production equipment.
Responsible for electrical and instrumentation components, review specifications and recommend replacement for obsolete parts, following change control.
Develop plans to improve efficiencies, process times, reduce labor, material costs, reduce maintenance costs and controlling budgets.
Implement changes to SAP Plant Maintenance System.
