What You Will Do :
The Market Access & Pricing team provides commercialization strategy and reimbursement services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics companies.
Our client services range from pre-commercialization marketing strategies to working with managed care organizations to develop policies affecting the use and payment of our clients’ novel therapies or diagnostics.
Consultants work with Guidehouse Life Sciences teams providing support through all aspects of project work. Specific tasks include the following : scheduling and conducting interviews with physicians, payers, and other thought leaders in healthcare;
gathering and analyzing medical literature, healthcare market reports and databases; and participating in document writing, production, and client presentations.
Travel is project dependent but averages 20 percent.
The Life Sciences practice encourages career development and hiring for the long term. Consultants follow a clearly defined career path and continue to deepen their knowledge in the field of healthcare and the practice of consulting.
As Consultants develop project management skills they progress to the position of Senior Consultant.
What You Will Need :
Bachelor’s degree, major course of study in science, biomedical engineering, or healthcare policy and planning.
Minimum 1 - 3 years of consulting or related business experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, and / or health economics.
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a deep interest in healthcare with an eye towards market access and reimbursement.
We seek candidates with strong verbal and written communication skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Advanced degree preferred, MS / MPH with prior work experience in the healthcare industry.
Knowledge of US and / or Global pricing & market access, developed via experience in healthcare consulting or within the pharmaceutical industry.
Candidates must exhibit an outstanding ability to grasp and communicate the clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services.
Qualified candidates for the Consultant position must be strong team players and demonstrate superior data collection, organization, and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and creativity.
The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
