Job Summary
The HR Assistant Manager supports and assists in overseeing HR functions related to recruitment, hiring, training, compensation, employee benefits, promotions, terminations, and career development.
This role ensures smooth day-to-day HR operations and provides assistance with the development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
The HR Assistant Manager works closely with the HR Manager to support managers and employees, providing guidance on HR procedures, policies, and relevant employment legislation.
Essential Functions
- Assist in managing the HR department and provide direction to clerical staff.
- Assist in managing administrative functions and issues.
- Support the HR Manager with recruitment and staffing processes, including conducting interviews and candidate screenings.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to ensure compensation and benefit programs remain competitive and comply with company policies.
- Help maintain and update job descriptions, organizational charts, and HR documentation.
- Assist in the review and revision of HR policies, ensuring compliance with changes in labor laws and regulations.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and escalate concerns to the HR Manager when necessary.
- Support the performance management process by gathering performance data and providing recommendations for employee development.
- Coordinate and assist with the planning and execution of internal training and recognition programs.
- Participate in resolving employee relations issues, escalating more complex matters as needed.
- Ensure compliance with benefits administration and provide employees with accurate information about company benefit packages.
- Assist with planning organizational changes and contributing to HR strategy development.
- Maintain records related to employee complaints and concerns, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Other HR and Administrative responsibilities / projects as assigned to meet departmental demands and / or shifts in the business.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.

Salary Range : $95k to $105k per year. This estimated range represents a good faith projection of what we believe is a competitive compensation range for this position.
Please understand that the offered salary will be determined based on factors such as the applicant's credentials, experiences, and the specific requirements of the role, as well as potential internal equity and external market considerations.
