Role Description
We are seeking a highly capable individual for Area Business Manager (ABM), US Corporate & Specialty, Petcare . Primary responsibilities include leadership and development of colleagues, while utilizing solution coaching and business planning capabilities to execute overall strategies to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography.
The ABM will consistently model People Leader behaviors, Zoetis Core Beliefs and organizational policies.
This position will require travel throughout the designated geography and may require overnight stays.
Position Responsibilities
Leading People
- Embrace, embody and lead the Zoetis aspiration of having a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.
- Consistently demonstrate Solution Coaching capabilities to lead and develop all colleagues.
- Direct the business activities and efforts of the area Account Managers (AM) and Executive Account Managers (EAM) to meet objectives set forth by management.
- Attract, diversify, develop, and retain top and emerging talent through recruiting, hiring, coaching and use of both colleague development and performance management tools.
Develop a robust and diverse succession plan for key roles and territories within the area.
- Spend 75% of available time on field-coaching days to help AMs and EAMs meet performance objectives by strengthening their core capabilities and professional development.
- Demonstrate strong leadership across all team members, including cross functional collaboration with local Diagnostics, Independent and Inside & Digital Sales teams to maximize growth opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate & Specialty operation team : Sales Director, Marketing, Commercial leads, Professional Service Veterinarian, Inside & Digital Sales Manager, Channel etc.
Sales Performance
- Meet or exceed sales objectives (quota) for both launch products and key growth products via development and coaching of AMs and EAMs.
- Ensure oversight and focus on reporting and analytics to drive consistent execution across the team, including Business Analytics, Tableau and Sales Dashboards.
Leading the Business
- Develop area business plans in order to achieve area financial and operational goals. Effectively allocate resource utilization, utilizing OPEX with an ROI mindset and within organizational policies.
- Proactively manage administrative and reporting duties, including Operating Expenses, Performance management, Performance reviews, etc.
- Attending and participating in new product launches and periodic national / area sales meetings.
- Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned and directed by the Sales Director and / or headquarters management.
- Proactively develop and maintain corporate account regional leader relationships, conduct business reviews, develop corporate account regional programs.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree (BS / BA) required.
- Minimum of 3 years people leader / management experience for external talent
- Success in previous roles including people leadership and creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, business management and computer skills
- Exemplifies what it means to be a change agent, continuous learner, and pushing self and others beyond dominant logic
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment, align with and influence internal and external stakeholders, and build / manage relationships at all levels of an organization.

- Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine

Technical Skills Requirements
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems
Physical Position Requirements
Ability / Willingness to travel extensively (70-80%) to manage area personnel and business needs as necessary
The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in ( Colorado) . Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
Base Pay Range : $108,000 - $155,000

Base Pay Range : $108,000 - $155,000
This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
