Director of Development and Communications
The FRD team is seeking a strong individual to join the team to assist in strengthening our fundraising and communications efforts.

Job Summary :
Development Campaign strategy for Adamah that includes :
- Develop an annual campaign goal and track the progress. Within the overall plan, must be able to :
- Develop an individual giving campaign strategy for Adamah :
- Create and manage a team of Adamah solicitors (staff and lay) who are trained to speak about Adamah’s key initiatives.
- Create and execute strategy to acquire new monthly donors.
- Implement strategy for testamentary gifts to Adamah.
- Cultivate new and existing $1,000+ donors.
- Convert special campaign donors into general operational support donors.
- Support special campaign efforts including events and capital campaigns.
Communications Tell the story of Adamah in a way that is compelling to stakeholders and investors nationwide and globally, using impact numbers and qualitative content.
- Brainstorm compelling ways to communicate what we do, using impactful data, testimonials, etc. in order to raise money.
- Create year-in-review materials and quarterly investor updates. Preferred experience in Adobe Suite and / or Canva.
- Design presentations for meetings with board members, donors, foundations, etc.
- Develop marketing plan for Community donors ($999 and below) that includes content for e-solicitation, mass mailings, and general outreach.
- Design and execute this plan via mini campaigns throughout the year (i.e., Giving Tuesday, Tu B’shvat, Earth Day, etc.)
Helpful prior skills and experience include :
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong administration and Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft SharePoint, and Salesforce experience.
- Ability to multitask and hold multiple projects at once.
- Self-starter, ability to self-motivate and work on solo projects as needed.
- Strong attention to detail as well as ability to hold a big-picture view.
- Commitment to deadlines and task completion.
General :
- It is everyone’s job to ensure the financial health of the organization through retreat sales, program revenue, and / or fundraising.
- Attend weekly department meetings.
- Attend monthly all-staff meetings.
- Must possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, professional verbal, and written communication skills in English, as well as provide excellent customer service.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to adapt to changing situations.
- Other tasks / duties as assigned.
Working Conditions :
This is an exempt position with work hours set to Monday-Friday, with some travel and weekend work possibility. (Depending on needs of the role) There is an annual all staff gathering which may require travel to one of our retreat centers.
