The Bilingual Program Aide is responsible for providing direct supervision, support and direction to children and adolescents in the shelter program during their scheduled shifts, usually weekday mornings and afternoons.
This includes requiring an unwavering commitment to the safety of all children and being aware of all ongoing developments and concerns, on a daily basis, of all children in their care.
Program Aides assist the minors throughout their transitions and participation in the unit milieu and in their education program.
Qualifications :
1. High School graduate or equivalent required. College education in Mental Health or related field is preferred.
2. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
3. 1 year of paid professional experience working with children and adolescents required.
4. Valid driver's license preferred.
5. Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
6. Fluency in English and Spanish (demonstrated competency in oral and written communication) required. Interviews will be completed in English and Spanish.
7. CPR / FA certification required and can be obtained during new hire training.
