S.O.S. Private security is hiring qualified Full time and Part time Armed and Unarmed Agents. Preference given to U.S. Military Veterans, sworn peace officers, and / or licensed paramedic / firefighters.
All agents must be able to obtain licensing through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, are required to score a minimum of 95% passing score on both the written and shooting aspects of the S.
O.S. Private Security Training Course. Our firearm licensed training program includes Shotgun, Rifle, Revolver and Semi-Automatic authorized weaponry.
This position is for multiple contracts armed and unarmed. New candidates will have to work unarmed assignments until they are able to obtain a Firearms Control Card (FCC) through the Illinois Department of Finacial and Professional Regulation.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
- Maintain a uniform and grooming standards
Skills
- Proven experience as security officer or guard
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
- Ability to obtain a PERC card and Firearms Control Card.
- High School diploma is required

Salary : $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
