Position Summary

Under the general direction of the senior staff of the Organizational Excellence & Leadership revenue center at the College of Continuing Education (CCE), the incumbent is responsible for leading the planning and the delivery of educational services and programs for employers and organizations, including trainings and other in-person and virtual education projects.

The incumbent is part of the Organizational Excellence & Leadership revenue center with over 40 staff that aims to provide transformative opportunities for clients to solve organizational challenges by providing educational services and programs that lead to actionable solutions and sustainable outcomes.

A commitment to quality and to providing the highest level of customer service possible are also requisites for this position.

FLSA : Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Anticipated Hiring Range : $3518 per month - $5972 per month Anticipated hiring range commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range : $3,518 per month - $6,791 per month

The College of Continuing Education (CCE) extends the mission of the university by increasing access for non-traditional learners.

With a primary expertise on serving adult learners, CCE provides programs and services to individuals and employers year-round, unbound by traditional semester schedules and formats.

CCE serves a hybrid student body that extends beyond California, serving over 80,000 learners annually through in-person, hybrid and fully online workshops, courses, conferences, certificate and degree programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and / or program fieldwith a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods.

This foundation wouldnormally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and / or equivalent training and administrative work experienceinvolving study, analysis, and / or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies,procedures, practices, or programs.

Required Qualifications

Experience : 1. Experience in training or educational programming-related experience2. Experience providing customer service while working in a service-oriented organization and / or position3.

Experience with developing, managing and implementing budgets Knowledge, Skills, Abilities : 4. Knowledge of being quality-oriented and customer-centric : detailed, accurate thorough, timely, dependable, responsive, proactive, solution-oriented5.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff, administrators, and all external constituents, both verbally and in writing6.

Ability to use common software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and quickly learn other web-based applications for project management and event planning7.

Knowledge of project management and organizational skills in coordinating many different tasks, establishing priorities and timelines, and completing projects according to complexity and resource needs, with a commitment to quality and attention to detail8.

Ability to gather and report data for both internal use and the clientsOther Requirements : 9. Ability to work in evenings and weekends as needed10.

Ability to travel statewide, including overnight stays, to support the essential functions of the position Conditions of Employment Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

11. Five (5) years of experience in training or educational programming-related experience12. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field13.

Certification in project management, meeting and event planning, and / or completion of related coursework14. Familiarity with instructional design strategies15.

Experience with online platforms for synchronous training delivery16. Experience working in a financially self-support organization
