Job Summary

Under the direction of the Dr. Brittany Chambers Butcher of the CARE (Community Strategies to Advance Reproductive Justice and Equity) Lab this position is responsible for providing principal analytical and project management support for all matters relating to the CARE Lab's daily responsibilities as well as serving in a supervisory capacity for all administrative functions.

The position serves as the primary contact / liaison to respond to inquiries from a diverse stakeholder group including community members, faculty, staff, and students related CARE Lab's research projects, activities, future collaborations, and administrative matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in public health, public policy, or related field
  • Several years of experience in academic research settings with organizing and implementing projects and program focused on reproductive and birth justice.
  • Experience with developing, requesting, and monitoring budget for project needs.
  • Demonstrated experience applying knowledge and policies to project and staff oversite.
  • Experience to produce high quality work using software programs such as Microsoft Word and it's advanced features, Excel, Access, Internet Browser, HTML editors, Acrobat, Photoshop, and Canva.
  • Demonstrated advanced organizational and advanced analytical skills to assume new projects and independently follow through to successful completion;

to manage details of complex projects; and to schedule and coordinate meetings.

Proven mastery using community engaged research approaches including working in a collaborative mode with a wide array of individuals, including community members, faculty, staff, students, administrators, organizations, and the public.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive years of experience in academic research settings with organizing and implementing projects and programs focused on reproductive and birth justice.
  • Experience organizing large-scale projects or programs and the implementation of their unique components.
  • Experience with recruiting diverse staff and populations on research studies.
  • Experience organizing and implementing large scale events, seminars, and conferences.
