Position Overview :

We are seeking a talented and motivated Healthcare Claims Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with healthcare claims data to analyze outcomes, costs, and other key metrics.

The Healthcare Data Analyst will play a crucial role in providing actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive value for our firm and portfolio companies.

Location : MENLO PARK, California

Job Type : Contract

Salary : $40 - 70 per hour

Work Hours : 8am to 5pm

Education : Bachelors

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze healthcare claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data models to support ongoing analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytical requirements and deliver timely and accurate insights.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed to support various business initiatives.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other mediums.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in healthcare analytics.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with healthcare claims data.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in either R or Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • Familiarity with SAS and Snowflake is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
