The CAD Designer Assistant responsibilities include conducting site visits to assess spaces and gather measurements to confirm all plans accurately reflect site conditions.
Collect design requirements to create space plans. Develop precise CAD drawings and construction documents. Create designs that meet established corporate standards and client specifications.
Ability to solve problems and develop solutions for furniture configurations, fit and function.
Provide back up support to Move Management team for large scale projects. The individual in this position will have frequent interaction with Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) Building Managers and Project Managers and external Architectural firms.
The individual in this position will report to the Senior Designer and General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 2-year degree in Drafting Design and / or Computer-aided Design (CAD) Technology.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of work experience in CAD design and drafting.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conducts space surveys and field verification of as built drawings.
- Designs thoughtful space plans for small office and suite reconfigurations.
- Produces Construction Documents including demolition, floor, power and data, RCP, and furniture plans.
- Provides quality review of A / E move plans for Move Management Team.
- Provides back-up support to move Management Team on move projects.
