This role will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance services are performed to the highest standards while effectively managing contractor relationships.

Working directly with the LA Site Lead, the Maintenance Supervisor will lead with an Apple first approach to facilities management to achieve department goals.

Description

  • Team Supervision : Provide oversight, mentorship, and direction to full-time Apple maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Contractor Management : Lead all aspects of the performance and service quality of third-party technicians, ensuring contract compliance and addressing any performance issues.
  • Operational Oversight : Lead maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, general repairs, and project support, to maintain building assets.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with various departments to support operational needs and maintenance requirements, encouraging a collaborative working environment.
  • Reporting & Audits : Conduct regular audits of service tickets and maintenance activities to identify trends, address potential issues, and ensure timely work order closure.
  • Compliance : Ensure all maintenance activities follow federal, state, and local laws, as well as Apple policies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing contracts or personnel.
  • Technical training, technical school background, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing both in-house teams and third-party contractors.
  • Proven experience in facilities building maintenance, with a strong understanding of maintenance protocols, logistics, and use of work order management systems.
  • Ability to provide on-call support in case of emergencies or other off-hours issues.

  • Strong communication skills, and provide direction to contractors and vendors performing services for the company.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with team members, management, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Apple products, Spreadsheets, BOX, Tririga / ServiceChannel.
  • Ability to understand the complex business environments at Apple and excel in customer service.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and address any issues that arise day or night.

Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $46.60 and $70.30 / hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
