DIRECT HIRE : Amazing opportunity for an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic, for the Madison, WI. area. Relocation assistance is provided for the right candidate, if not local to the area.
Salary : $38hr - $45hr (based on experience)
Base Hours : M - F, 7am - 3 : 30pm
Lead Diesel Mechanic Requirements :
- Lead team of mechanics in a working capacity
- Train and monitor performance
- Running diagnostic tests on Mixer Trucks
- Analyzing diagnostic test results
- Replacing damaged or broken components
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Performing preventative maintenance on Mixer Trucks
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
- Maintaining a parts inventory
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years in a Lead role
- Preferably a degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
- Will consider recent graduates of an accredited diesel program
- ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
- Valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL preferred, not essential)
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
- Good IT and diagnostic skills
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Must possess own tools
- Must pass background check and drug screen
