Position is contingent upon contract award. As the Electrical Power Production Technician , you will maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Performs scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjusts generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and or synchronization.
- Identifies, records, and repairs generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective power generating components.
- Maintain systems are such as, but not limited to Cummins generator series' DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP-3106A and Cummins Inpower software.
- Support various generator systems including C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment;
ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Air Control Squadron O&M Support, Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- High School diploma or GED.
- Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as : military technical training school, vocational college, and / or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
- Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS :
Must have applicable CFC / EPA certification such as Section 608 Certification (Universal).
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
Qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operating a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
- Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD SEVENTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
