BRPH is currently looking for a Project Accountant for our Construction Services Market Sector at our Melbourne, Florida Headquarter office.
The Project Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other
financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness.
Maintain or examine the records of government agencies.
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare
budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Review project budgets, analyze variances and present findings to management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policy and customer
specific requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to monitor cost and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university with a minimum of 4 years
of relevant experience or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant
experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting cycle and project analysis.
- Must be able to reconcile complex data sets.
- Proficient Excel user.
- Must be able to understand various contract types, specifically T&M.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship
