About Your Work
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Epic Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in data modeling, database design, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen focus on modern analytics to engineer advanced solutions in patient care, population health, and reporting.
This is a casual, short-term employment opportunity with an anticipated duration of 6 months. It is a full-time assignment requiring a standard work week of 40 hours per week.
You Will Focus On :
- Data Modeling and Database Design : Develop and maintain comprehensive data models and database designs to support various healthcare applications and reporting needs.
- ETL Processes : Design, implement, and manage efficient ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration across multiple systems.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the data architecture team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Problem-Solving : Diagnose and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring data integrity and optimizing data workflows.
- Analytics : Utilize modern analytics tools and techniques to develop advanced solutions for patient care, population health, and reporting.
- Consultation : Serve as an experienced Epic consultant, providing expert advice and guidance on data architecture best practices and strategies.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, clinicians, and IT professionals, to ensure cohesive and effective data solutions.
- Designed, developed, tested, and automated the data models for several custom Power BI Dashboards including :
- Provider Incentive Scorecard Dashboard
- Clinical Quality / MIPS Dashboard
- Schedule Utilization Dashboard
- Created deliverables for all aspects of life cycle methodology including design, build, test, train, implementation, and maintenance of the Epic Cogito module including :
- Radar Dashboards
- Reporting Workbench Reports (RWB)
- PAF Columns
- SlicerDicer filters
- Custom SQL-Based RWB Templates
- Custom Registry Metrics
- Cognitive Computing models
The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years proven experience as an Epic Data Architect or similar role in the healthcare industry.
- Proven experience as an Epic Data Architect or similar role in the healthcare industry.
- Expertise in data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in modern analytics tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Altais values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.
The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description.
Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location.
This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements : Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office / deskwork Activity level : Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
