Join our important mission! Crossroads, Maine's leader in substance use and eating disorder treatment is seeking an passionate professional to join our HR team.

In this essential role, you will support the organization's staff and leadership by providing comprehensive HR administrative and project management assistance.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Core functions include and not limited to :

  • Performs Human Resources administrative tasks
  • Provides a high degree of customer service, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Prepares and facilitates pre-boarding and new employee orientation and processing new hire paperwork
  • Coordinates all recruitment functions including posting new positions, processing new hires, sending welcome emails, background checks and references, etc
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, licenses, etc
  • Communicates personnel policies and procedures to appropriate staff
  • Provides administrative support of of employment related issues involving such areas as unemployment compensation, worker's compensation, disability leave programs and similar programs
  • Prepares documents and composes routine correspondence.
  • Organizes all HR records and maintains an audit ready status
  • Gathers information, prepares surveys and statistical analyses, and assists in the development of reports
  • Acts as a member of the HRMS administration team
  • Provides assistance and coordination in the development and maintenance of specialized human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems
  • Works collaboratively with HR Director, management and leadership on HR functions within the organization
  • Supports and models the values and commitments of the organization

Required Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

Experience : 2 + years of HR administrative experience, specifically in recruiting and onboarding functions. Knowledge and competency of general HR principles to include compliance with employment laws and regulations

Technical skills : Ability to use technological equipment and systems. HRMS administration preferred

Interpersonal Abilities : Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners .
