- $35.05 / hour
- Training on 1 st shift from 7am-330pm, but flexibility to work other shifts after training
- Direct Hire opportunity
The I&E Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation issues that would negatively impact the safe operation of plant systems.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Test, repair and upgrade electrical instrumentation systems.
- Safely and efficiently maintain and repair manufacturing and utilities equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot electrical equipment, report deviations, equipment failures, and hazards.
- Installation, calibration, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments and electrical equipment.
- Identify, interpret, and effectively use drawings, and documentation related to electrical and process controls (electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, control schematics, instrument loop diagrams, etc.)
- Control valve repair.
- Participate on project teams identifying and sharing continuous improvement ideas.
- Complete reports and documentation accurately.
Skills / Qualifications
- 5 years' experience in electrical or instrumentation troubleshooting and repair, or 2 year technical degree / certificate in industrial electrician and 2 years of work experience in the electrical and / or instrumentation field.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous chemical plant experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
- Physically capable of climbing stairs and ladders both indoors and outdoors.
- Able to work in an outdoor environment in all seasonal weather extremes.
- Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
