Position Description :
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced and highly organized Property Manager to oversee the management and operation of property across multiple contracts and programs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management, maintenance, and tracking of all assets. These roles require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with DOD property management processes and regulations, databases, and forms.
Responsibilities Include :
- Oversee the daily operations of managing equipment and materials, ensuring they are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Maintain accurate records of all equipment and materials, including acquisition, storage, distribution, and disposal.
- Utilize DoD property management databases and forms to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant government and DoD regulations and standards regarding property management.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs of equipment and materials, ensuring they remain in good condition.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with inventory and condition standards.
- Prepare and submit required reports on property status, utilization, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate the logistics of receiving, storing, and distributing equipment and materials.
- Provide training to staff on proper property management procedures and use of management systems.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other hob functions including procurement, finance, engineering, program management, and operations teams to ensure seamless property management and alignment with program and organizational goals.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related technical field.
Experience Requirements :
- 5 years' experience in property management, with specific experience managing government and DoD equipment and materials.
- Strong knowledge of DoD property management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using DoD property management databases and forms.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle conflict and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 30+ lbs.
- Comfortable working in various storage and operational environments.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and access various equipment and materials storage areas.
