Overview
We have partnered with a national high-volume retail organisation searching for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team.
As the focal point for business and technology planning, you'll play a key role in development and support of data products, collaborating with architects to design data architecture.
Your responsibilities will include providing data services for enterprise-grade analytical environments, streamlining efficient data transformations, facilitating cross-team collaboration to execute data solutions.
This role offers the exciting opportunity to closely partner with renowned engineering team within a dynamic, high-impact, and fast-paced environment and work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Sr Data Engineering Responsibilities
- Oversight and execution of the data engineering roadmaps.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to design, create, implement and deploy data-driven solutions.
- Maintain and continuously improve enterprise data pipelines while ensuring safety and efficacy of data quality.
- Build a robust, scalable, and reliable data engineering platform.
- Set up Dev Ops processes for data engineering.
- Engagement in data governance council to review standards and best practices, improving if needed.
- Assist in large scale data migration to modern cloud applications.
- Could be hands-on in the architecture design and building team engineering best practices.
- Manage project priorities and product deliveries. Drive technical initiatives from execution toward delivery.
Sr Data Engineering - Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in data engineering
- Leadership oriented and collaborative nature
- Must have strong Python and SQL experience.
- Must have strong experience using Azure Databricks and digital transformation.
- Proven ability to design, build, and deploy ETL / ELT pipelines end to end.
- Must have strong technical knowledge of BI systems and tools.
- Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP
- Any certifications would be advantageous.
- Bachelor’s Degree
