Care First Rehabilitation, a growing Residential and Outpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Program that serves significant brain injury such as with a serious stroke.

Rehabilitation Technician (previously referred to as Direct Care Worker)
The Rehabilitation Tech. performs routine patient care duties under direct supervision.
Key responsibilities include :
Being able to work 12 hour shifts in each of our 5 AFC homes (homes are located in Troy and Farmington Hills)
Being available to work every other weekend
Being available to attend our week long, paid mandatory training
Direct Care work in Licensed Adult Foster Care Homes that specialize in Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation.
Experience in Conflict Resolution (CPI certified Preferred - verbal interventions)
Experience in PEG Tub feedings, Hoyer transfer, bowel program, personal hygiene, pressure relief preferred but we can train.
Assisting clients with activities of daily living and encouraging independent behavior with appropriate interventions on a daily basis.
Providing care to clients in a manner that considers safety, clients’ rights, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.
Identifying verbal and non-verbal cues for potential aggressive behaviors and uses the necessary intervention to de-escalate the client appropriately.
Representing the facility in a manner that conveys a professional, courteous, caring, and cooperative attitude.
