Description
This position will support the operations of the Crowe payroll team by applying knowledge of payroll taxes including federal, state, local, and paid family leave to maintain compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Process payroll tax adjustments to employee records as needed
- Communicate with employees on payroll tax matters
- Reconcile payroll taxes post processing
- Perform routine payroll tax audits to identify noncompliance and apply corrections
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings
- Assist and monitor amended tax filings
- Correspond with tax agencies and ADP to resolve agency notices
- Research and register for payroll tax accounts with governmental agencies
- Assist with special payroll reporting
- Provide back-up support to other Payroll team members
- Maintain high degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality with payroll data
- Participate in special projects and / or other duties assigned
Qualifications :
- 3+ years’ experience working in multi-state payroll
- Experience working with ADP
- Experience with Workday a plus
- Experience with tax account setups
- Confident working with highly sensitive / confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to follow issues through to resolution
- FPC a plus
