As a Solar Electrician at Verogy, you will lead regular inspections, perform maintenance tasks, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure safety and industry standards compliance.

Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing the performance of our solar panels, maximizing energy production, and minimizing downtime.

Additionally, you will supervise and mentor apprentices in the field daily.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, maintain, and repair solar electric systems in compliance with design specifications and electrical codes.
  • Act as site team-leader during installations, ensuring efficient, safe and quality work with adherence to Verogy’s high standard of installation, best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct site assessments to determine system requirements and address potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans and timelines.
  • Perform electrical wiring, conduit bending, and equipment installation for solar PV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar electric systems, including inverters, wiring, and electrical components.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout all phases of solar installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and team members.
  • Adhere to all OHS&W requirements

Requirements :

  • Proven experience as an Electrician with a focus on solar PV installations.
  • E1 or E2 electrical certification.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
  • Familiarity with solar PV technologies, inverters, and energy storage systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and construction drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation :

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. The salary range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

When determining a base salary, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
