Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our client's team in a pivotal role that will shape the future of their data management initiatives.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to design and manage Data Architectural solutions across multiple environments, including Data Warehouse, ODS, and Data Replication / ETL Data Management systems.

As a Senior Data Architect, you will work closely with Business, DBA, ETL, and Data Management teams to provide solutions for complex data-related initiatives.

Your expertise will be crucial in developing and managing Data Governance and Master Data Management solutions. This role requires not only technical prowess but also excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor effectively.

You will be at the forefront of establishing best practices, ensuring data standardization, and driving architectural solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish and manage policies, procedures, and guidelines for all aspects of Data Governance
• Ensure data decisions are consistent and adhere to best practices
• Maintain and update Data Standardization definitions, Data Dictionary, and Data Lineage
• Collaborate with ETL, Replication, and DBA teams to determine best practices for data transformations, movements, and derivations
• Work with support teams to implement consistent and proactive support methodologies
• Mentor Data Architects and Data Analysts to ensure adherence to best practices in database design and data management
• Assist in overall Architectural solutions for Data Warehouse, ODS, and Data Replication / ETL initiatives
• Coordinate with business teams and Enterprise Architecture to ensure optimal data-centric architectural solutions
• Create and implement a strategic roadmap for Master Data Management (MDM)
• Lead the implementation of a Master Data Management tool
• Document and enforce Architectural rules and design of the MDM process

Required Experience / Skills

• 13+ years of Data Architecture experience, including OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data
• 13+ years of Solution Architecture experience
• 13+ years of Master Data Management (MDM) experience
• 15+ years of Data Governance experience, with working knowledge of best practices
• Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of Data Movement and Processing, including Middleware, ETL, API, OLAP, and best practices for data tracking
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in team environments
• Capable of presenting to all levels of audiences

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the energy or utilities sector
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in data management
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in big data and cloud computing
• Experience with data visualization tools

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, TOGAF) are a plus

Pay & Benefits Summary

• Competitive hourly rate : $70 to $80 per hour
