The Opportunity :
Clean Harbors Norwell, MA is looking for a Transportation Compliance Coordinator to join their safety conscious team! The Transportation Compliance Coordinator is responsible to provide administrative support in the office workflow, that may include but not be limited to the processing, record-keeping and reporting of Driver Qualification files for a large interstate driver data base, requiring a thorough knowledge of Federal, state, and provincial regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Assist in creating waste tracking reports for internal and external customers;
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Assemble and analyze information, prepare reports, manuals, agendas, and correspondences;
- Generate and maintain data and reports;
- Consult with co-workers and provide structure and effectiveness in the development of compliance programs, policies, and procedures with the least amount of impact on the operations
- Work to develop a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, local, and provincial transportation regulations related to properly qualifying regulated drivers per the DOT (Department of Transportation), and all related record-keeping and reporting;
- Has input and development of process to reduce processes to paperless system;
- Set-up, organize, and maintain the office filing system including confidential data;
- Work as back up for each individual position for work backlog, vacation, and sick leave, personal time, etc. minimizing necessary overtime;
- Interface with a variety of people on both routine and complex issues.
- Willing to travel away from home.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and provincial transportation and hazardous materials and waste regulations (preferred);
- 2+ years of administrative support experience;
- Excel (pivot table and V-Lookup knowledge required);
- Proficient in Windows based applications;
- Able to maintain confidentiality;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work under strict deadlines.
