Overview
An Analyst, for the Investment Team provides essential support related to financial markets and investment solutions for the distribution team and clients / prospects.
This team operates in a dual capacity, combining elements of client portfolio management and product specialization.
Support activities encompass a range of client interactions, including business development and due diligence discussions with prospects, ongoing portfolio evaluations with current clients, product comparisons, and presentations at various industry gatherings (webinars, conferences, podcasts, etc.).
In collaboration with Marketing, Compliance, and the broader investment team, the Investment Specialist Team contributes to industry thought leadership by developing various product-focused and thematic content for client discussions.
Primary Responsibilities
The Analyst role assists the overall investment specialist team. Key responsibilities include :
- Supporting the creation and updating of content
- Gaining expertise in investment strategies and solutions
- Generating customized product comparisons and model portfolio analyses for advisor clients
- Presenting team content at internal events such as weekly meetings and training sessions
- Addressing product and market-related inquiries from the sales team
- Attending investment partner due diligence calls and taking comprehensive notes
- Coordinating with Marketing and Compliance to transition content from creation to publication
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 2-5 years of experience in the financial services or asset management sector
- Familiarity with tools commonly utilized by investment specialist teams
- A keen interest in developing and integrating insights on financial markets to assist clients in making informed investment choices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to convey complex investment strategies across various asset classes
