Scope of the position :

Work Hours : 7 : 30am to 4 : 30pm PST, onsite in Santa Clara

Work Days : M-F

Scope of work :

• Install / remove equipment in lab racks based on ticket assignment
• Make copper or fiber cable connections based on ticket assignment (1G, 10G, 40G+; LC or MPO)
• Technical knowledge, skill, aptitude :
• VMware ESXi installation & basic troubleshooting
• Ubuntu OS installation
• Server troubleshooting : wont boot, RAM or HD installs
• networking knowledge / concepts of : ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls

Qualifications :

• Open minded, can do, will do attitude
• Prompt, quick to react and closure
• Able to evaluate a situation and execute the best, quickest, easiest
• Can work alone or as part of a small team
• Knowledge and skills in : VMware, Ubuntu, networking understanding / concepts (ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls), fiber & copper cabling
