The Cook III is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in a busy kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food.
Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expertise to prepare all menu items across all property venues.
- Able to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Manages food delivery check in for quality and quantity.
- Ensure proper freezer and stock labeling and rotation on food items / ingredients.
- Ensures all standardized recipes are utilized and followed.
- Adhere to all food safety procedures and guidelines.
- Opens shifts and prepares staff and venue for planned volumes.
- Coordinates daily tasks with the Executive Chef / Sous Chef.
- Covers off days for Executive Chef / Sous Chef.
- Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
- Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.
- Guides and trains the kitchen team on a daily basis to ensure high motivation and economical working environment.
- Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks.
- Maintain and set sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
- Execute the function of his / her area to exceed set standards and guest satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
- May be responsible for cashier responsibilities, if assigned to a mobile / QSR outlet.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Indirect supervision of Kitchen team members and their activities.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma / GED required, Culinary degree preferred,
- Previous work experience in a professional kitchen is a MUST!
- Five plus years of experience in food service environment preferred.
- Must possess advanced knife skills, knowledge of all kitchen equipment usage, kitchen safety, and etiquette.
- Must place an emphasis on a high level of guest service and give the best service possible
- Minimum one (1) year in a supervisory role preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Obtain necessary food handling / health department work cards as defined by local jurisdiction.
- ServSafe Certification (preferred).
- Valid Drivers’ License.
