ABOUT JVS SOCAL & IMAGINGWORKS
Founded in 1931, JVS-SoCal is a nonprofit, non-sectarian social service agency providing job training, career services, mentoring, and placement assistance to diverse and multicultural populations, transforming lives and empowering individuals to achieve dignity and economic independence through sustainable employment.

ImagingWorks is a new job training program offered by JVS SoCal. It is an entry-level program lasting over 12 weeks, ImagingWorks puts people on the path to promising medical imaging careers.
In partnership with RadNet, we support ImagingWorks students at eight to twelve (8-12) clinical sites across Southern California;
where students will be able to earn a wage while learning and gaining credits towards a statewide credential.
DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the ImagingWorks® Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator is to generate applications, assist applicants through the entire application process, and fill ImagingWorks cohorts with qualified, motivated students who understand the opportunities for training and employment in the medical imaging industry. Duties include :
- Coordination of the day-to-day outreach and recruitment activities for ImagingWorks
- Assist with the assessment and enrollment process, including interviews, info sessions, testing, scoring, verification, selection, and admission for participants in the program
- Assist in the co-enrollment process in partnership with AJCCs
- Coordinate with ImagingWorks and JVSWorks staff, JVS SoCal programs, and other staff for recruitment initiatives, including referrals, joint outreach and recruitment presentations, participation in job and career opportunity fairs, targeted recruitment activities for special populations, and other outreach and recruitment activities
- Assist JVS SoCal staff in the design, development, and implementation of marketing strategies, including the use of email campaigns and social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google, and Indeed
- Assist in updating ImagingWorks information posted on the JVS Website
- Assist in the design of ImagingWorks collateral marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and ads
- Assist in identifying and developing new partnerships with community organizations and high schools to solicit referrals
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for programs and funders into Salesforce and Sharepoint
- Perform related duties as assigned, including outreach and recruitment support for other JVSWorks programs and graduations when needed
Requirements :
We seek a candidate who :
- Has strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality
- Thrives in a busy environment and has excellent organizational / time management skills
- Can work independently as needed without constant oversight
- Has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and finds satisfaction in their success
- Can work with all levels of management and staff as well as outside community and employer partners
- Has excellent Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and Outlook multiprogram calendar management)
- May have Salesforce experience (or other CRM programs)
- May have a background in Human Resources as a recruiter, or as a program coordinator, social worker, or case manager
- May have community resource knowledge or have worked in employment and career training programs
Education / Certification / Licensure :
Preferred : HS Diploma and higher education courses in social work, education, psychology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Three or more years of progressively responsible work experience in human resources, employment training programs, and outreach and recruitment.
A valid California driver’s License.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ImagingWorks Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator will work with JVSWorks staff to achieve mutually agreed upon goals and outcomes to :
- Accurately and appropriately represent the program and career opportunities
- Recruit and enroll qualified participants for ImagingWorks
- Recognize gaps in qualification that could be addressed with tutoring or other supportive services
- Engage program leaders, community partners, and employers to increase applications
- Maintain high standards for key performance indicators, including applications, info session outcomes, and admission / enrollment
- Satisfy the requirements of employers, funders, government, and licensing partners
- Satisfy employers and the requirements of employer partnership agreements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment; will work in business, classroom, and other various settings; frequently stands, walks, and sits in performing duties in the office and at offsite locations;
- required to talk or hear both in person and by telephone and use hands to find handle and feel computers and standard office equipment;
- frequently lifts and carries up to 5 lbs. occasionally up to 25 lbs.; must have reliable transportation for conveyance to locations around greater Los Angeles;
may be required to work some evenings and occasional weekends. This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement.
