In the United States, Tradebe Environmental Services has 30 sites and serves customers from a broad range of markets, from petrochemicals to aerospace and hospitals, with unparalleled safety and quality standards.

This is a Hybrid position that can be based in the Merrillville, IN or Chicago, IL office.

Main Purpose

This role will support the Accounting Manager in the execution of day-to-day accounting functions, month end closing process, and daily / weekly / monthly financial reporting.

You will be responsible for reviewing multiple P&Ls for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Support general ledger monthly close process
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to ensure compliance with Global Accounting Policies and GAAP
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of financial reports for department and management use
• Support audit processes
• Identify process improvements to create efficiencies
• Reconcile data across various platforms
• Other accounting tasks, projects, and ad hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and / or Finance is required
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting role
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and IF formulas)
• Hands on, takes initiative, is actionable, and follows up
• Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize tasks, and stay organized
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience utilizing ERP (SAP) is a plus
