Registered Dietitian Oncology Program
Job Duties :
The Oncology Registered Dietitian is responsible for the nutritional assessment, development of a dietary plan and nutrition education of the Oncology patient.
The plan includes the identification of dietary recommendations to assess nutritional needs of radiation and chemotherapy patient.
Provide counseling to patients on managing nutrition-related side effects of oncology treatment and importance of nutrition in relation to cancer.
Provide appropriate recommendations to optimize nutritional status of patients. The RDN’s responsibility also includes community education.
Requirements :
License as a dietitian in Kentucky
Current Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, or foods and nutrition and an Academy of
Masters degree in foods and nutrition, preferred.
Twenty-four months recent and relevant experience preferred
