Reporting to a Principal Flavorist, you will manage flavor development projects to ensure an effective and successful creation process in cooperation with customers.

This position is onsite located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Category of focus is Beverage, Sweet / Dairy.

Flavor Preparation and Evaluation - Prepare flavor samples for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, and physical testing.

Formulate new flavor creations or modify existing flavors to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development for multiple flavor types.

Participate in the evaluation of materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for flavor creation.

Expertise Knowledge Sharing - Serve as technical expert to resolve flavor production issues and customer complaints and complete ownership of created flavors.

Coach, train, motivate, and mentor flavor assistants. Participate and learn about all areas of the company (analytical chemistry, sensory, consumer understanding, regulatory, flavor delivery, and.

manufacturing). Be an advisor to internal and external partners and customers for ingredient and flavor performance for multiple flavor types.

Contribute to discussions of research plans, sensory results / insights, making experimental observations and helping to make connections to related, but separate, technologies.

Project Management - Manage assigned projects and provide flavors which meet all defined project needs while following good manufacturing practices, sample scale-up, production requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Make suggestions for future research or sensory activities.

You?

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology
• 3+ years of experience AFTER completion of a Flavorist Trainee Program or accepted industry equivalent
• Expert level tasting skills with an intermediate level ability to understand how to adjust a flavor formulation in the direction needed for flavor modifications
• Intermediate level knowledge of raw materials and flavor ingredients
• Expert level ability to formulate selected flavor types to deliver flavor performance for customer briefs, problem-solving processes, research and development needs
• Ability to prepare and present complex flavor creation related technical presentations
