Cella is looking for a dynamic Senior Designer to join our client's team in Beaverton, OR for a hybrid, contract opportunity!

As a Senior Designer at our client, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of performance-based products. This role involves driving ideation, research, engineering, and project management, turning visionary concepts into market-leading products.

You will collaborate closely with product creation teams to bring innovative ideas to life, leveraging your expertise to deliver impactful designs that align with the brand vision and resonate with consumers.

Responsibilities :

Ideation & Visioning :

Generate new ideas and innovative approaches for performance-based products that offer growth opportunities and competitive advantages in the market.

Collaborate with product creation teams to develop concepts consistent with the vision for new products across all business units.

Research / Engineering :

Define testing protocols and establish the scope required to validate new concepts.

Develop insights based on consumer needs, business goals, and performance requirements, contributing to the advancement of product concepts through new technologies or construction processes.

Deliver proof of concept by transforming ideas into tangible product visions.

Identify key materials and processes essential for product construction and engineer prototypes.

Project Management :

Lead innovation projects, turning concept ideation into reality by working with multi-disciplinary teams including product creation, manufacturing, and third-party vendors.

Tackle complex challenges with innovative, state-of-the-art approaches and feasible solutions.

Communication :

Create comprehensive reports and final documentation to educate internal stakeholders on new innovations.

Serve as an industry expert, recognized for your innovative contributions and thought leadership.

Effectively communicate best practices and knowledge to facilitate the transition of new technologies to product development.

Qualifications :

• Experience level : Experienced
• Education : Bachelors (required)
• 8+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in apparel product creation or a related agency environment.
• Strong passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends, as well as visual culture.
• Ability to translate consumer insights into compelling product solutions and narratives.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator and Photoshop) and comfort working in new digital spaces.
• Passion for design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes, and tools.
• Expertise in illustration, typography, brand identity, and color theory.
• Knowledge of repeat pattern creation, textile printing techniques, and the translation of designs from digital to physical formats.
• Familiarity with apparel product creation and basic garment construction principles.
• A positive personality with high energy and enthusiasm for design.
• Ability and passion to lead, mentor, and onboard design team members.
