Job Overview :
Computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions.
Responsibilities :
- Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
- Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
- Developing and analyzing cost standards
- Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
- Performing account reconciliations
- Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
- Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
- Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
- Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books
- Supporting other company accountants with invoicing, capital expenditure, & G / L journal entry
- Assists with related special projects as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications :
- BS in Accounting from an accredited university
- Proficient in Sage Accounting Software required
- Minimum four (4) years of accounting / cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with external / internal auditing and compliance preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
