Job Overview :

Computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions.

Responsibilities :

• Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
• Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
• Developing and analyzing cost standards
• Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
• Performing account reconciliations
• Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
• Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
• Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
• Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books
• Supporting other company accountants with invoicing, capital expenditure, & G / L journal entry
• Assists with related special projects as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications :

• BS in Accounting from an accredited university
• Proficient in Sage Accounting Software required
• Minimum four (4) years of accounting / cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with external / internal auditing and compliance preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
