About :

The Sr. Procurement Specialist researches and negotiates major organizational DoD contracts and procurements.

  • Applies advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge.
  • Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Works autonomously and mentor and supervise team members.
  • Reads and reviews prime contracts and task orders.
  • Evaluates requirements for hardware and software procurements in support of a . DoD government Prime Contract, including FAR and DFARS flow-downs, special requirements, and performance work statement
  • Establishes CPSR compliant procurement files greater than $250,000, including small business subcontracting plans, cost accounting standards, and Truth in Negotiation Act.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions to identify and mitigate risk based on purchase order award type, commodity, and anticipated award value.
  • Evaluates statements of work or bill of materials for completeness.
  • Evaluates source justifications to ensure compliance to the procurement award type.

Requirements :

  • 5 to 7 years of Federal Contracting Procurement experience
  • Cradle to grave procurement knowledge
  • Ability to read and review prime contracts and task orders
  • Experience in negotiations beyond terms and pricing
  • Support for a Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR)
