About :
The Sr. Procurement Specialist researches and negotiates major organizational DoD contracts and procurements.
- Applies advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge.
- Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Works autonomously and mentor and supervise team members.
- Reads and reviews prime contracts and task orders.
- Evaluates requirements for hardware and software procurements in support of a . DoD government Prime Contract, including FAR and DFARS flow-downs, special requirements, and performance work statement
- Establishes CPSR compliant procurement files greater than $250,000, including small business subcontracting plans, cost accounting standards, and Truth in Negotiation Act.
- Negotiates terms and conditions to identify and mitigate risk based on purchase order award type, commodity, and anticipated award value.
- Evaluates statements of work or bill of materials for completeness.
- Evaluates source justifications to ensure compliance to the procurement award type.
Requirements :
- 5 to 7 years of Federal Contracting Procurement experience
- Cradle to grave procurement knowledge
- Ability to read and review prime contracts and task orders
- Experience in negotiations beyond terms and pricing
- Support for a Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR)
