Description

The Manager, Media Reporting and Analytics will be a critical member of the Business Intelligence team responsible for Cox Communications’ efforts to develop an analytically driven marketing investment optimization strategy.

In this role, you will support Cox Communications’ internal media reporting and analytics practice, including establishing the required internal data infrastructure to house all online and offline media data, ongoing data management and validation, dashboard reporting, and analytic insights.

This role will work in close partnership with Cox’s Media Center of Excellence, Consumer Analytics, and other members of the Business Intelligence team to function as the connective tissue between media execution, testing, and measurement.

What You’ll Do

Lead the day-to-day management of real-time Marketing performance reporting, partnering closely with the Media team to address ongoing reporting and optimization needs.

Support the Analytics team in the implementation of a media data hub that will deliver on the reporting and analytic requirements established by the Media and Business Intelligence teams (not responsible for development work)

Develop intuitive dashboards designed for flexible reporting and easy consumption by internal stakeholders.

Improve and maintain existing dashboards and shared data sets.

Partner with Data Science team to establish real-time leading indicators of digital marketing performance to drive improved marketing outcomes across customer engagement, acquisition, and retention.

Support the mining, analysis, and interpretation of data using statistical techniques to develop actionable insights into complex business challenges.

Effectively communicate findings and results to various internal and external stakeholders by explaining the story behind the data and making recommendations to the business based on data insights.

Perform ad hoc analyses as opportunities / necessities arise.

Minimum

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience;

a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years’ experience in a related field.

  • Expert at SQL and Excel for querying and manipulating data for analysis and visualization.
  • Strong analytical, processing, and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.
  • Analytical & curious mindset with qualitative reasoning
  • Strong experience with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or other data visualization tools
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Skill in merging diverse data from different platforms, formats, and environments
  • Conceptual thinker with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear recommendations based on data insight .
  • Strongly motivated to take initiative and maintain high expectations for work quality on a team which is constantly striving to improve themselves through discovering new analytics techniques, software tools, and processes to deliver on the needs of internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage up, proactively communicating key progress updates and potential roadblocks.

Preferred

  • BA / BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e., Business, Marketing, etc.)
  • 2 or more years of experience in leading complex, cross functional projects
  • Experience with data warehouses (such as AWS) a plus
  • Prior digital marketing agency experience a plus
  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired

Compensation :

Compensation includes a base salary of $96,100.00 - $160,100.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience.

Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
