A law firm seeks a Managing Attorney to lead its family law practice in Dallas, TX. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced attorney who is passionate about family law and has a proven track record in managing legal teams.

The Managing Attorney will oversee the operations of the Dallas office, ensure the productivity and development of staff, and represent clients in various family law matters.

This is a primarily remote position with in-office client meetings and court appearances as required.

Duties :

• Oversee the daily operations, productivity, and profitability of the Dallas office, ensuring billable hours and work product goals are met.
• Mentor and guide a team of attorneys and paralegals, providing motivation and one-on-one support.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR to recruit attorneys and staff while ensuring compliance with firm policies.
• Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients, advise on family law matters, and retain new clients.
• Prepare legal documents, represent clients in court, and manage case-related proceedings.
• Collaborate with other Managing Attorneys and department leaders to ensure the Dallas team receives the necessary support.
• Negotiate settlements and work closely with colleagues across legal specialties to verify legal strategies and bases for proceedings.

Requirements :

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• A minimum of 7 years of legal experience, with a focus on family law.
• Proven experience leading a legal team, mentoring attorneys, and managing office operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Collaborative and team-oriented with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Education :

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications :

Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills :

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong family law expertise, including litigation and client consultation.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents and negotiating settlements.
• Skilled in court appearances and handling case-related proceedings.
• Ability to oversee office productivity and profitability.

Location :

Primarily remote role with court appearances and in-office client meetings in Dallas, TX.
