Role Purpose : Support and provide guidance to the Quality Inspectors as directed by the Quality Manager. Support internal and external customer concern investigations.
To program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) as needed. Perform measurements with hand tools. Perform capability studies and inspection reports as directed.
Key Responsibilities :
Address internal and external concerns, assure proper containment of suspect materials, drive the root cause and corrective action process, and validate corrections when directed.
Program and operate CMM and be proficient with operating software as needed.
Conduct or support the inspection and audit requirements as directed. This includes the inspection of products in the In-coming, In-process, Final and Safe launch areas as needed.
Perform dimensional analysis as required.
Define and identify new or required gauging as needed.
Support continuous improvement activities per direction.
Perform gauge calibration per schedule and maintain gage calibration process.
Support the organization where needed with the training and awareness requirements associated with any of the above.

Working knowledge of dimensional layout, including hand-tools ( and CMM applications is a plus).
Working knowledge of blueprints, GD&T, and other design specifications.
Applied knowledge of root cause and problem solving methods.
Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Need to become proficient in 4th Shift, as needed to perform quality related inventory transactions, and initiate "Need to Inspect / Hold" situations.
