The Center for Professional Development in Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the College of Education and Human Development is a grant funded Center

charged with delivering a range of services and provides field-based teacher education programming in a specialized setting in the Eastern region of the state.

The Director of the CTE center will provide leadership in the implementation of the PA DepartmentofEducation’s(PDE)BureauofCareerandTechnicalEducation(BCTE)grant guidelines with the goalof student success and continuous improvement of Temple’s CTE program and secondary partnerships.

Thispositionwillmonitorgrantrequirementstoensurecompliance,develop, write and implement relevant local plans, fulfill requirements for Annual Performance Reports or other requirements for reporting.

This position will also require adherence to all university and college policies, procedures, and processes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience :

A bachelor’s degree and at least eight (8) years of directly related experience,includingleadership of larger team consisting of both hybrid and onsite employees, experienceintheareaofpartnership development with funding agencies.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Prior leadership experience in the CTE sector and a thorough understanding of Vocational Education is required.

Preferred

Master’s degree, Previous experience working in Higher Education,communitydevelopmentand networking, program development, personnel and financial

management.

Required Background Checks & Clearances :

• PA Child Abuse Clearance
• PA State Police Criminal History
• Handling of Purchasing Cards, Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, or managing financial transactions
• Access to Confidential or sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII)

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
