This position reports directly to the Principal Hydrogeologist / President of the company. A rare opportunity exists here for adaptive, creative, and quantitatively adept professionals to create and share in the success of a forward-thinking and technically innovative consultancy.
This position will be open to students / interns / recent grads and will provide an opportunity to work with an experienced Principal Hydrogeologist.
Position : Field Hydrogeologist
- You will work closely with senior technical staff and collaborators to provide geologic, hydrogeologic, and / or engineering expertise to complex environmental litigation and due diligence, primarily involving site characterization, remediation, and regulatory closure.
- Successful Hydrogeologists are detail-oriented, self-starters, and committed to clients, deadlines, and budgets.
- Primary responsibilities include routine field inspections of active soil vapor extraction emissions control systems for regulatory agency compliance and reporting, well gaging and field oversight of groundwater sample collection, collection of soil vapor samples from multi-depth probes, and indoor air sample collection.
- Careful field technique and record-keeping are essential.
- Office responsibilities include vendor contract maintenance, field schedule planning, and laboratory analytical data management (Access, Excel, etc).

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering, or related field, and minimum 1 year of relevant experience, including a mix of field, or laboratory analysis, and data entry experience.
- Candidates should possess a working knowledge of site characterization and remediation techniques and methods for a variety of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater.
- Applicants must have strong organization, task management, and communication skills.
- Professional registration in California is preferred although consideration will be given to those working toward attaining those certifications.
