The Embedded Behavioral Health Clinician position will fill an innovative and important role at the Weaverville Police Department and our Reynolds Clinic and in the surrounding counties.
As a Responder Support Services Clinician, you will embed with First Responders, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement Agencies, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, and Social Services agencies in the southeastern US.
While delivering specialized services to First Responders, you will in exchange be helping our local communities.
This position will include a combination of providing sessions at the practice at Weaverville Police Department and our Reynolds Clinic and onsite with local embedded agencies.
The Weaverville Police Department and our Reynolds Clinic position offers a base salary for embedded days plus 50% of billing collections.
Employee Benefits will be offered after a 90-day probationary period for employees who work more than 20 hours.
Occasionally, clinicians deploy all over to United States to support US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Interior, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and National Park Service during crisis situations.
Salary listed in job posting is potential earnings amount for full time clinician with a base salary for embedded days plus billing commissions.
Responsibilities :
Perform individual, evidence-based psychotherapy
Perform brief interventions
Provide educational lectures and workshops to target population
Provide post-crisis / post-critical incident interventions
Act as bridge between staff and commanders
Maintain patient medical records
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Interface with law enforcement in-the-field
Qualifications :
Previous experience as a mental health counselor and current licensure in NC
Knowledge of emergency services is a plus
Ability to build rapport with population
Flexible schedule in order to visit various shifts / squads
Strong attention to detail
