General Responsibilities :

• Structural Technical Lead : Take the lead on local and regional projects, providing expertise and leadership.
• Analysis and Design : Perform structural analysis and create precise design calculations.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough QA / QC reviews to ensure excellence.
• Guidance and Mentorship : Share your technical wisdom with fellow team members.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multifaceted projects.
• Adaptability : Be ready to tackle other duties as needed.

Qualifications That Shine :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. A Master’s degree with a structural focus is highly desirable.
• Experience : 8 - 12 years of bridge design, analysis, and load rating experience.
• Project Exposure : Familiarity with clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOTs, and local municipalities.
• Standards Savvy : Proficiency in AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT, and ISTHA design standards.
• Software Skills : Strong knowledge of design software, including OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, Midas, and STAAD. Proficiency in MicroStation is essential, and familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler is a plus.
• Licensure : PE license required; SE license or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Communication : Excellent oral and written communication skills.
