Non-exempt, hourly position. Partial hybrid work options may be considered with a majority of the week on campus. Basic Function Manage and monitor university-level social media accounts, responding to and engaging with the college’s constituents.
Plan and produce social media content in collaboration with the University Communications content team. Track key performance indicators. Essential Job Functions
Community engagement and channel management : Manage and maintain official social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and others.
Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with followers and promptly responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
Monitor and participate in relevant conversations and trends within the social media landscape.Periodically monitor social media accounts over evenings and weekends to watch for emerging situations and advise stakeholders on appropriate responses.
Stay updated on platform trends and best practices to optimize engagement.
Content planning and development : In collaboration with the University Communications content team, generate compelling and creative content to elevate the college’s brand and build awareness of stories and achievements.
Create and manage the college’s social media content calendar.Write clear and engaging audience-appropriate post captions across platforms.
Curate user-generated content that reflects the diverse experiences of our students, faculty, and alumni.With direction from the Associate Vice President for University Communications and Associate Director of Multimedia, identify key messages and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the college’s goals and values.
- Analytics : Use analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts.Provide regular reports on KPIs and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
1+ years experience, internships included. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years experience. Physical Demands Must be able to move around the campus, including walking, climbing stairs, and navigating hills.
