COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
The Community Violence Intervention Center, a regional and state expert on domestic violence and sexual assault intervention and prevention, seeks a communications professional to support both internal and external communications tactics for our growing agency.
This full-time position will implement and support communication projects and plans targeting a variety of key audiences including employees, donors, media (local, regional and national), donor / grant prospects, partners and current / prospective clients.
This position has the option to be hybrid remote / in-person with a semi-flexible work schedule. The ideal remote work schedule between 8 a.
m. to 5 p.m. (CST) weekdays is preferred, but some tasks can be completed outside of typical business hours. The ideal candidate will be available in the Grand Forks office 8-20 hours / month.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : High school or general education diploma (GED). 1-2 years of experience in corporate marketing, public relations, journalism, office administration or related fields.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook), web / social media platforms, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, have access to personal transportation and be willing to complete agency errands when needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : The candidate is extremely organized, self-motivated, creative and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven and highly collaborative environment.
Knowledge of corporate marketing graphic design concepts, digital strategies / tactics, and social media platforms is preferred, along with proficiency in managing administrative tasks.
COMPENSATION : Hourly rate is $15.00 - $21.40 based on education and experience. Benefits include a generous leave package including annual leave, sick leave, and personal days;
11 paid holidays; health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 403b with employer match; and potential eligibility for federal student loan forgiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Administrative : Meetings & Administration
- Provide excellent customer service to all
- Assist staff with any administrative tasks including typing, copying, preparing miscellaneous files for staff, ensuring organized filing systems, and maintaining applicable records and
- Schedule meetings, prepare spaces, order lunches and send calendar invites through Outlook, assist with creation and distribution of agendas and materials, as
- Facilitate expense / mileage reports and other reporting documents. Complete payment authorization forms and reconcile credit card statements for Director of Marketing & Communications and President / CEO.
- Ordering agency marketing materials from outside vendors to ensure timely delivery and sufficient supply as needed and maintaining applicable records.
Communications / Development
- Assist with donor communications needs / planning such as special events, donor appointments and appeals- including basic PDF and Power Point edits and assisting with donor database tasks as needed.
- Work with program staff to gather assets for, develop, plan and produce culturally customized client, staff and partner videos / communications materials.
- Assist with building planned content for social media for the entire year (and communicating this with key leaders / staff).
- Assist with agency-wide communications for the scheduling and distribution of the CVIC You Tube series. This includes scheduling guests;
brainstorming content / guest ideas; coordinating production of interviews; vetting support materials / visuals for cover footage, drafting / editing copy for social media, and assisting with posting / publishing materials.
